New Character Set!

A bunch of characters! I started this a while back before
my senior projects got crazy, and then had to take a break...
soooo the first four are from about a month ago, and the second
three are from the last two days. This was way fun, and I felt like I got
better despite the fact that the process went rather quickly :). This
probably took me about.... 3 to 4 hours per character. The ones
towards the end took me a lot less time.

Face Study

It's been a while since my last post, mostly due to my semi-recent employment
at Gas Powered Games. Finally got the concept art job I've always wanted!
I've been doing small pieces and studies here and there
when I have time, so I thought I'd throw something up. Here is a face
study I did based on some of the characters in Inglorious Bastards. I feel
like faces are a real weak point of mine, so this was a bit difficult but
ultimately very rewarding. On average I'd say each face took me about 40 minutes. Ish.

Rag-Tag Band of Robots (and girl)

Here's a bunch of rough characters I created! I'd call this stage...
Silhouette plus. Still rough and undefined, but with some
fun details. Over all, this took me.... 3 hours.

Forest Guardian

Finished at last! My hand hurts. Gotta learn to hold that stylus
a little looser. Probably about... 14 - 16 hours when it was all
said and done. Now time to go home and eat!

Hey all! This is a WIP of a character I have been working on in
my spare time. The only work I've had recently was
environment pieces, so I thought I'd buff up my portfolio with
more characters. I forgot how much I enjoyed them! This is probably
about 7 or 8 hours in, I'd guess.

Guns! That's right, guns!

This is something entirely new for me. I learned a lot
in the process, and feel like I achieved a measure of success.
Each one of these designs was probably about 3 hours in Photoshop,
with a little more time here or there depending on the complexity
of the weapon. Hope you enjoy!

Characters Inspired by Runic Games

For those of you that know me, it's no secret that I've been inspired by the work that comes out of Runic Games. The games are fun...
